AUCKLAND SHOOTING CLUB

The Auckland Shooting Club is a sports club that opened in June 2016 and operated until March 2024.

The club is located 50 mins north of Auckland CBD at Makarau.

The primary objectives of the club were:

1. Safety and education around pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting.

2. A complete training program for members wishing to excel in shooting.

3. Organised competition shoots and matches.

4. A club culture that supports and encourages new and existing members.

ASC operated 4 ranges (with a 5th underway) designed specifically to cater for pistol, rifle, and shotgun competition, along with a natural terrain area that hosted monthly PRS rifle matches at ranges up to 180m. Scheduled matches were held every month and include IPSC Mini-Rifle, Steel Challenge, Shotgun (both IPSC and Steel Challenge) and PRS Rifle.

The club committee comprises some of the countries most experienced shooting leaders and those who have a genuine interest in promoting shooting sports and running a club that looks after its members.​
